Monhegan Dump

This is a painting of the Monhegan Dump. All kinds of burnable waste awaits it's firery fate. I found this 10' high mound amusing and wanted to paint it. I was running short of canvas and noticed a door panel in the trash and thought, "Perfect, a panel to paint on from the subject of the painting!"

Monhegan 2007 Trip

That's me painting on Monhegan Island July of 2007. I am painting 100 feet above the ocean on a ledge below Burnt Head. Fortunately for me John Henry, a Photographer and now News Editor for the Associated Press came by and photographed me, Thanks John!!!
