I just returned from my annual Monhegan Island Painting trip. This is the famous Red House above Swim Beach. I painted it as the sun was setting behind Manana. The little girl who lives in the house came to talk and watch me as I was frantically painting. At mid point I wasn't satisfied with what I was doing and said ," I might just rub this one out" to which she replied, " Oh, I don't think so"! Fortunately, I stuck with it, and glad I did. In the next few weeks I'll be posting paintings from this years trip.
